Connection Threads

A connection thread is an independent way you can reach someone. Each thread is a separate channel — if one disappears, the others still work.

• Poncdash connection — You're both on Poncdash and linked (the strongest thread)
• Email — You have their email address
• Phone — You have their phone number
• Platform presence — They were imported from a specific platform (LinkedIn, HubSpot, etc.)

Syncing a contact to more providers does not add a thread. Copying a phone number to three clouds is a backup, not another way to reach someone — if they change the number, every copy is equally wrong.

A contact with 2 or more threads is resilient. You can reach them another way if one channel disappears.

A contact with only 1 thread is fragile — shown in red. If that one channel goes away (you leave a platform, lose a phone number), you lose the connection entirely.

A contact with no threads — no phone, no email, no link — can't be reached at all. Those are worth fixing first.

The strongest thread is a Poncdash connection: when they change their details, your copy updates itself. A phone number only stays right until they change it.

Thread indicators appear throughout Poncdash:

• Contact cards — A compact coloured indicator next to each name
• Contact detail page — Full breakdown of each thread type
• Dashboard — The "Resilient" stat card and vulnerability widget

Every action you take in Poncdash can add threads:

• Add contact methods — Adding an email or phone creates a new thread
• Import from another platform — Records platform presence as a thread
• Connect a provider — Synced contacts gain a provider thread
• Invite to Poncdash — If they join and connect, that's the strongest thread of all
